[AFP] The International Committee of the Red Cross in Zurich called on Thursday for Hamas to give the family of captured Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit regular access to him that he "is entitled to under international humanitarian law." Hamas has refused repeated requests from the ICRC to be able to visit Shalit so they could determine the conditions of his detention and treatment. Shalit, now 22, was abducted by Palestinian fighters in June 2006 after they tunneled under Gaza's border to attack an Israeli army post. Two other soldiers died in the raid.
