Congress Approves New Iran Gasoline, Banking Sanctions

(Bloomberg) Viola Gienger - Congress has voted in favor of expanding U.S. sanctions on Iran to punish foreign suppliers of gasoline and block banks doing business with the regime from the American financial system. The House of Representatives voted 408-8 for the measure, sending the legislation to President Obama for signing. "This is the strongest Iran sanctions legislation ever passed by the Congress," said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
