U.S. Official: Israel Won't Bomb Iran

[Jerusalem Post] Tovah Lazaroff - Iran's nuclear facilities are too vast to be destroyed by a single air attack so Israel is unlikely to bomb it to forestall Iran from developing a nuclear bomb, a senior U.S. official said Tuesday. "We do not have enough information about the Iranian nuclear program to be confident that you could destroy it in a single attack. The worst thing you could do is try and not succeed," the official said. In Iran there are as many as 200 sites that are part of their nuclear program, he noted. As a result, he said, "I do not see that Israel is going to do something like that....In all our conversations, thus far, Israel has stressed that this is an international problem. Israel does not want to make it an Israeli problem."
