(AFP/Reuters/Khaleej Times-Dubai) Thirteen Syrians, 11 of them Kurds, were tortured to death at the hands of the security forces last year, the Association for Human Rights in Syria said. More than 2,000 political prisoners remain in detention in Syria, the group said, with nearly 450 arbitrary arrests reported last year.
