(Reuters) Nidal al-Mughrabi - Mahmoud Abbas named three new heads for the Palestinian security forces and forced hundreds of their men into retirement on Saturday, pushing aside top commanders in Arafat's old guard. Brig.-Gen. Suleiman Helles was named national security forces commander to replace Moussa Arafat. Palestinian intelligence chief Amin al-Hindi was replaced with his deputy, Tareq Abu Rajab. Both Arafat and Hindi were named as special advisers to Abbas. Palestinians complained that disorder was growing despite the tens of thousands of security forces personnel, who were widely seen as incompetent and often corrupt.
