(AP/New York Times) - Saudi Arabia's government said Thursday that it was "disappointed" by Washington's criticism of its detention of 13 intellectuals and called the matter an internal security issue. On Wednesday the State Department criticized Saudi Arabia for the arrests of 13 liberals this week, calling it a step backward that was "inconsistent with the kind of forward progress that reform-minded people are looking for."
