(Ha'aretz) Danny Rubinstein - The meeting Saturday between Ahmed Qurei and Colin Powell in Jordan, and another with National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice in Berlin this week, are a long way from any breakthrough in relations between the U.S. and the PA. The relationship reached a crisis, effectively a break, after the attack on an American convoy in the Gaza Strip on Oct. 15, in which three U.S. security guards were killed. The Americans agreed to the meetings to try to quiet the anger in the Arab world over events in Iraq.
