The statement, written in diplomatic jargon, warned against "destabilization" of the Persian Gulf and expressed support for the "principle of noninterference." It was supported by Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and the UAE.
