(VOA News) - Israeli officials say they are hoping to halt the sale to Jordan of advanced U.S.-made AMRAAM air-to-air missiles that could undermine Israel's military superiority in the region. Israeli officials also fear that the missile sale could trigger an Egyptian request to purchase the weapons. Israeli officials are concerned at Egypt's determination to arm itself with advanced weapons.
