Wahhabi Follower Behind Russian Hostage Crisis

(Moscow Times) Simon Saradzhyan and Simon Ostrovsky- The attackers who took more than 300 people hostage at a school in Beslan, North Ossetia, in Russia have demanded the withdrawal of federal troops from Chechnya and the release of insurgents jailed after bloody raids in Ingushetia in June. The group is probably being led by Magomed Yevloyev, an ethnic Ingush and follower of the radical Islam Wahhabi movement, RIA-Novosti reported, citing law enforcement officials.
