(Jerusalem Post) Yaakov Lappin - Israeli security forces arrested 20 Palestinian Hamas members in the Hebron area who planned to kidnap an IDF soldier, the Israel Security Agency announced Thursday. Nabil Muhammad Awada, 32, from Dura, who has served time in an Israeli prison for terrorist activities, acted as the cell's chief. Mahmoud Abu Warada, 34, from Fawwar, provided weapons to the cell members. "Large numbers of weapons have been seized in the investigation," the ISA said. Tarek Garaib, 35, from Tarqumia, was in touch with Husaam Badran, a Hamas operative based in Qatar, who was released in the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange.
