(Ha'aretz) Arnon Regular and Tsachar Rotem - Soldiers from the Golani brigade entered the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanun early Thursday morning, in an attempt to prevent terror groups from firing Qassam rockets at the nearby Israeli town of Sderot. A gun battle erupted and a helicopter fired two missiles at a Palestinian police post from which shots had been fired at the soldiers, killing two policemen inside, said the commander of the operation, Lt. Col. Nir. Israeli sources said the military moved in after receiving intelligence reports of Palestinian militants planning attacks in the area. The security establishment currently has 57 warnings of terror attacks, the vast majority of which are being planned by Hamas.
