(Washington Post) Carol Morello - The Saudi monarchy, concerned about a public backlash against the war, is going to great lengths to cloak the degree to which it is cooperating with the U.S. against Iraq. The remote Saudi desert air base where U.S. forces direct the air war against Iraq is not marked on any map and the Saudis have barred reporters from the base. But diplomats in Riyadh say the Saudis have granted the U.S. military permission for everything it needs, if not everything it wants, at Prince Sultan and at two other remote airstrips.
