[Washington Post] Robin Wright - Noted American scholar Haleh Esfandiari, 67, director of the Middle East program at the Smithsonian's Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, has been charged with "seeking to topple the ruling Islamic establishment," Tehran's state-controlled television reported Monday. Esfandiari, a dual U.S.-Iranian national, was imprisoned on May 8 after more than four months under house arrest and weeks of interrogations.
