(Jerusalem Post) Tovah Lazaroff - Natan Sharansky was one of the seven ministers who this week voted against the road map. "There is a danger in proclaiming a state before democratic reforms are in place," he says. Instead of being the reward for reform, the state is the "down payment" for "serious negotiations" and not the result of a long process of serious reform. Sharansky fears that too much is being built on the Palestinian leadership and not enough on a democratic society.
