(Yediot Ahronot-Hebrew)- During a Knesset debate Monday, Prime Minister Sharon emphasized that "the question of unauthorized outposts is an internal Israeli question, but one affecting international sensibilities. Many world leaders have spoken to me about this, and I clarified to them that the unauthorized outposts were built without permits. Israel, as a state of law, will deal with this matter through its authorized bodies according to its abilities and judgment, as it acts against illegal building everywhere." "Unauthorized outposts will be evacuated," Sharon said. Nevertheless, the prime minister emphasized that "the future of Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria will be decided only during discussions on a permanent settlement. We have no intention of dealing with this now, and it is not in Israel's interest to do so." The Knesset approved the prime minister's statement by a vote of 47-27.
