[Aljazeera.net] Britain's Serious Fraud Office has dropped its two-year investigation into allegations of corruption over a multi-billion-dollar arms deal with Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia had given Britain a deadline to end the inquiry or lose a contract for 72 Eurofighter Typhoon combat jets. Lord Peter Goldsmith, the British attorney-general, said the decision had been made "in the wider public interest."
