(Telegraph-UK) Jeevan Vasagar - Assad's use of chemical weapons outside Damascus was discussed with Iran by a senior representative of Hizbullah. A briefing by the head of Germany's intelligence service, Gerhard Schindler, noted that in a telephone intercept of a call between a high-ranking representative of Hizbullah and the Iranian embassy, the Hizbullah representative said that poison gas had been used, and that Assad's order to attack with chemical weapons had been a big mistake. The telephone intercept had identified the chemical used as sarin.
