(Ha'aretz) U.S. Undersecretary of Defense Douglas Feith met Thursday with the prime minister, foreign minister, defense minister, and heads of the defense establishment. He was accompanied by Gen. Charles Simpson, chief operations officer for the U.S. Air Force in Europe, who will serve as the new liaison officer to Israel from the U.S. armed services' joint chiefs of staff, in the event that there is a war in Iraq.
