(Ha'aretz) Former U.S. Congressman and Middle East peace activist Wayne Owens, 65, died Wednesday night during a walk along the beach in Tel Aviv, apparently of a heart attack. Owens was president of the Center for Middle East Peace and Economic Cooperation, and met regularly with Middle East leaders in an attempt to foster peace.
