(Washington Institute for Near East Policy) David Daoud - In early August ISIS attacked Arsal, a Sunni-populated town along the Lebanon-Syria border. The commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), Gen. Jean Kahwaji, said that had the army lost Arsal, ISIS would have continued to the coast and declared its state. The clashes in Arsal will surely not be ISIS' last attempt to enter Lebanon.
