Hadar Goldin and Sgt. Oron Shaul, who died in the summer Gaza war. On Dec. 23, 2014, Mahmoud Nazal, a member of the Hamas political bureau, claimed that the movement is holding live Israeli prisoners. These statements angered prominent military leaders of Hamas' Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, who said that any discussion about Israeli prisoners would be up to the movement's military leadership.
