(Jerusalem Post) Sharon Udasin - Israeli and Jordanian government officials on Thursday signed a bilateral agreement to jointly funnel Red Sea water to the shrinking Dead Sea. In the $800 million project, Jordan and Israel will share the water produced by a future desalination plant in Aqaba, while a pipeline will carry saltwater from the plant to the Dead Sea. In return for the desalinated water, Israel will double its supply of water to Jordan from the Sea of Galilee.
