Palestinians were hurling stones from a vehicle on the highway and hit the windshield of a military vehicle, prompting the troops to chase after them. The Palestinian car was blocked by the military vehicle, and the two Palestinians in the car came out. The driver stabbed a soldier in the neck, and the stabbed soldier then shot the stabber dead, who was identified as Sami Abu Ourab, 26, from Kabatiyah.
