Judaism's Holiest Site Is Reclassified as Exclusively Muslim by UNESCO

(JTA) UNESCO, at its executive board meeting Thursday in Paris, passed a Palestinian-backed measure that denies a Jewish connection to the Old City of Jerusalem. The vote was 24 in favor of the resolution and 6 against, with 26 countries abstaining. The U.S., UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Lithuania, and Estonia voted against the resolution. Other European countries abstained.
