Earlier in the day, gunmen abducted Nablus deputy mayor Mahdi al-Khamdali at gunpoint, while in Ramallah gunmen, reportedly from Fatah, stormed the offices of the Hamas-controlled Ministry of the Interior, shot the office manager in his legs, and abducted him.
