U.S. Navy Ship Fires Warning Shots at Iranian Patrol Boat in Persian Gulf

(CNN) Barbara Starr and Zachary Cohen - A U.S. Navy ship fired warning shots at an armed Iranian patrol boat Tuesday in the Persian Gulf, U.S. defense officials said. The Iranian boat, believed to be operated by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, came within 150 yards of the USS Thunderbolt.
