(Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs) Col. (ret.) Dr. Jacques Neriah - Syrian President Bashar Assad has managed to survive the war at a huge economic cost, with almost half a million people killed, millions injured and handicapped, half the population displaced from their homes, and more than two million refugees in neighboring countries and Europe.
