[TIME] Elaine Shannon and Adam Zagorin - A personality conflict between Prince Bandar bin Sultan, the current Saudi national security adviser and former longtime ambassador in Washington, and his successor as Saudi Arabia's U.S. ambassador, Prince Turki al-Faisal, played a big role in Turki's abrupt resignation last week. According to sources close to the royal family, Turki had grown fed up and "angry" that Bandar was still trying to act as Saudi Arabia's point man in dealing directly with President Bush and Vice President Cheney.
