(Al-Monitor) Jared Szuba - Aircraft bombed a number of Iran-linked targets in eastern Syria early Wednesday. The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said 57 people were killed, most of them Iran-backed militia fighters as well as 14 Syrian government forces. A senior U.S. intelligence official told AP that the strikes targeted warehouses used to store Iranian weapons in Syria. The official said the strikes were carried out using intelligence provided by the U.S.
