(AP) Iran, grappling with its most severe surge of the coronavirus, on Sunday logged 39,600 new cases and 542 deaths. The crush of new cases, fueled by the delta variant, have overwhelmed hospitals, with 6,462 severe cases reported Sunday. Only 3.3% of the total population of 80 million has been fully vaccinated.
