Demonstrators took to the streets in Ahwaz, Qazvin, Shahreh Kurd and Dezfoul, chanting "death to the dictator," social media showed. In one instance on Thursday, a crowd tore down a banner featuring Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as onlookers cheered.
