(Telegraph-UK) Dominic Nicholls - The Royal Navy seized Iranian surface-to-air missiles and engines for land attack cruise missiles in two operations on January 28 and February 25 after intercepting vessels from Iran headed for Houthi rebels in Yemen. The British frigate HMS Montrose led the operation, which involved a high-speed pursuit by Royal Marine commandos. They were supported by the U.S. Navy destroyer USS Gridley. The Royal Navy retains a permanent presence in the Gulf region, based in Bahrain.
