(CNN) Clare Foran - The U.S. House of Representatives voted on Thursday in a 218-211 party-line vote to remove Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) from the House Foreign Affairs Committee in light of statements she has made that have been criticized by members of both parties as antisemitic. In 2021, a group of Jewish House Democrats accused Omar of equating the U.S. and Israel with the Taliban and Hamas.
