(New York Times) Eric Schmitt - For the second time in nearly two weeks, the U.S. carried out airstrikes against a weapons warehouse used by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and its proxies in eastern Syria on Thursday, ratcheting up retaliation for a steady stream of rocket and drone attacks against American forces in Iraq and Syria. The Pentagon said Wednesday that there had been at least 41 attacks on U.S. forces in Syria and Iraq since Oct. 17 and that at least 46 U.S. service members had been injured, 25 of whom had suffered traumatic brain injuries.
