(Ha'aretz) David Rosenberg - President Erdogan's announcement on Tuesday that Turkey would ban a long list of exports to Israel may do some limited harm to the Israeli economy, but the Turkish economy will suffer even more. Between 2009 and 2023, two-way trade expanded nearly three-fold. Turkey became the fifth-largest source of imported goods for Israel and Israel's 10th-largest export market. Turkey was the leading destination for flights out of Ben-Gurion International Airport last year as record numbers flew Turkish airlines to Istanbul to connect with onward flights.
