Syrian Rebels Had Help from Ukraine in Humiliating Russia

(Washington Post) David Ignatius - The Syrian rebels who swept to power in Damascus received drones and other support from Ukrainian intelligence operatives who sought to undermine Russia and its Syrian allies. Ukrainian intelligence sent 20 experienced drone operators and 150 first-person-view drones to Idlib, Syria, to help Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the leading rebel group. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov claimed in September that "Ukrainian intelligence emissaries" were in Idlib.
