(New York Times) - Iran showed off its Shahab 3, or "Shooting Star," missile on Monday for the first time during a military parade. The missile was first tested successfully in 1998 and has been described as having a range of more than 800 miles, enough to reach Israel or Turkey. Concerns have been expressed that it could be equipped to carry a nuclear warhead.
