(Reuters) The UN appealed on Monday for the Syrian army and rebel fighters to allow urgent aid to reach the Yarmouk district of southern Damascus where 15 Palestinians have died of malnutrition in recent months. UNRWA spokesman Chris Gunness said five Palestinians died in Yarmouk over the weekend.
