[Angus Reid Global Monitor] 63 percent of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza oppose Hamas recognizing the legitimacy of Israel, according to a poll by Arab World for Research and Development, conducted through interviews with 1,200 Palestinian adults on May 3-5, 2008. Only 17 percent supported recognition of Israel by Hamas.
