Former Israeli Hostage and Peace Activist: "I Understand Hamas Doesn't Want Peace"

(BBC News) Hafsa Khalil - Ada Sagi, 75, an Israeli peace activist who was seized from her home in Kibbutz Nir Oz on Oct. 7 and held hostage for 53 days in Gaza, told Britain's Radio 4 on Wednesday how her ordeal destroyed her belief that peace is possible between Palestinians and Israelis. "I don't believe in peace, no. I don't believe, sorry," the Arabic and Hebrew teacher said. "I understand Hamas don't want it."
