[Ynet News] Roee Nahmias - Israel has asked the U.S. for approval to recapture the Rafah crossing on the border between Gaza and Egypt, European sources told the London-based Arabic newspaper al-Quds al-Arabi. Israel is seeking to set up a military base in the area, and wants control over the Rafah crossing to be in the hands of international monitors.
