(Ha'aretz) Shlomo Shamir - Arab ambassadors to the UN dropped a plan Tuesday to seek a Security Council condemnation of Israeli military actions in Gaza. Any declaration from the Security Council's president will likely also take into account the recent increase in Palestinian rocket attacks on Israel. According to UN sources, the unusual Arab hesitation to push for a condemnation of Israel stems from the belief they wouldn't be able to secure a majority vote in the Security Council.
