(Bloomberg) Viola Gienger and Gwen Ackerman - U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said during a visit to Israel Thursday, "I know there may be a temptation during this time of great uncertainty in the region to be more cautious about pursuing the peace process....I carry a different message - that there is a need and an opportunity for bold action to move toward a two-state solution." Gates also advised caution on any response to the Palestinian rocket attacks on southern Israel and a bombing in Jerusalem. "No sovereign state can tolerate having rockets fired at its people," he said.
