(Daily Star-Lebanon) Abbas on Saturday placed West Bank security services on a "state of alert," deploying troops across the territory in a bid to curb rampant security chaos. Security forces began moving into the main West Bank cities, despite the fact that Israel has only transferred security responsibility to Palestinian forces in Jericho and Tulkarm.
