(Ha'aretz) Gideon Alon - The head of the Shin Bet security service, Yuval Diskin, told the Israeli cabinet Sunday that "the calm prevailing in recent days in the Gaza Strip does not attest to a Palestinian ability to control the area." Diskin said it is too early to shower praise on PA Chairman Abbas as though the current calm is his doing. Head of Military Intelligence Maj.-Gen. Aharon Ze'evi Farkash told the cabinet, "The patience of the Palestinians waiting to enter the evacuated areas is expiring."
