(Washington Post) Editorial - The Obama administration has finally recognized what the people of Syria have been making clear for the past four months: that President Bashar al-Assad "has lost legitimacy," as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton put it on Monday. Amb. Ford's mission to Hama was a demonstration that it is possible for the U.S. to help Syrians free themselves from the Assad dictatorship.
