(Jerusalem Post) Margot Dudkevitch - Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz on Thursday ordered the immediate implementation of steps to improve the conditions of Palestinians who are not involved in terrorism. The steps include deploying additional soldiers at crossings along the security fence to speed up security inspections, increasing the hours crossings remain open, and improving the treatment of those who live in close proximity to the fence. An IDF officer and an Arabic-speaking soldier will be deployed at all permanent IDF roadblocks to help Palestinians seeking humanitarian or medical assistance. 2004-01-09 00:00:00Full Article
