(Guardian-UK) Ian Black - These extraordinary images by French photographer Mani show rebel fighters of the Free Syrian Army, night-time demonstrations, the funerals of victims, and the anger and defiance of ordinary Syrians facing violent state repression. One of the worst situations, said Mani, was that people injured by the security forces must be treated in secret.
