(New York Times) - President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt met with Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom on Monday in Cairo, their third meeting in the past six months. Both men expressed support for a plan to increase Egypt's security presence along its border with Gaza, and to send the Egyptian police into Gaza to help train their Palestinian counterparts.
